This femme got me thinking: why does society (as a general rule) associate grey hair with a loss of vibrancy? A dulling of beauty? I wanted to explore and challenge this notion. I selected the iconic kangaroo paw flower to accompany this glorious femme. Its official Latin name, 'Anigozanthos’, translates to literally mean ‘unequal’.

I thought this was an appropriate flower choice given there is often a generalisation that men become debonair as they go grey. Women on the other hand…? On a nicer, gentler level, I liked the bloom is associated with uniqueness and individuality. She is rather original after-all!

Hot pink contrasts against her silver-haired beauty, the colour representing pure love. Silver is associated with wealth, sophistication and elegance. Diamond patterns feature in the background, a wonderful association with unity that exists between all elements and creatures of the earth. Diamonds also represent harmony and stability; very precious.

Finally, my beloved butterflies represent hope and life. I love when I look at my silver-haired beauty I can feel her vitality in my heart. I hope you can too.
